R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: I hope for the best for Tom Brady. The Pats are a resilient T-E-A-M and not just a one man show.
BTW Only hooligans like Bills' fans cheer an injury to an opposing team's player.

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: This is sooooo typically G&M ....
The story of the new NFL season is the Chiefs' safety after already haven been taking out of the play, lunges helmut first into Tom Brady's knee after the pass to Randy Moss had already made...
Yet, the G&M are trying to work in the local TO angle by reporting on the Bills...
These G&M guys are soooooo predictable !

Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: Miller, the hit was no different than when Carson Palmer blew his knee out a few seasons ago.
Karma. Maybe it will make up for 7-8 years of cheating.- Posted 08/09/08 at 12:05 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Pat Billings from CDN, Canada:
Care to back that "cheating" comment up with some context...
Seems most un-Habs like to me to seemingly say the best QB in the league's injury was somehow deserved.
Anyways, there is way more to the Pats than just Tom Brady...
Note that the Pats still beat the Chiefs today with Matt Cassel in their lineup.

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Anyone who watched the Habs in the seventies will know that great teams usually find ways of winning the games that they are not supposed to win...
Does anyone also remember a Pats' QB named Drew Bledsoe from 2001 ?
Didn't think so...

Dave T from midwest, Canada writes: 1. Brady of course is the big story, bur New England remains a very good team. 2. Two good AFC teams lost to NFC teams which continues a trend starting last year. 3. What I posted about the Chargers defense two weeks ago proved to be spot-on; their defensive coordinator is easily defeated at the planning stage. 4. Michael Turner is like the second coming of somebody. 5. Miami will continue to find ways to lose week in and week out. 6. I like the Titans defense and have consistently said that Kyle Vandenbosch was the best DL in the league last year. 7. The Bills were impressive; let's see how they do on the road in Jacksonville next week.

Jake ---- from Canada writes: I'm big Bills fan and this years team looks to be the best team they have fielded in years. I really like the Defensive line, they should give opposing teams trouble all season.
I think this year is the year that the Bills could take there division and possibly there conference.- Posted 08/09/08 at 7:46 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Ryan M from Ottawa, Canada writes: Bills fan here. Great all-around game, nice to see the Bills put the pieces together yesterday. Next week should be a good test against the Jags. A lot of upsets this week, should make for an interesting season.
Miller - insufferable is right. Six posts on this thread already? Really? The first one stating that 'nobody cares about the Bills', followed by five more? Unreal. Sorry for Brady, don't like seeing anyone get that kind of injury. But, the fact is, the AFC East just opened up a lot.- Posted 08/09/08 at 9:40 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

David Gehring from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada writes: Any chance the Pats will give Daunte Culpepper a call and try to get him out of retirement? Anyways, the AFC East is now a 3 team race, it will be fun to watch.

Todd Jarvis from Oakville, Canada writes: Every time a QB goes down in this manner there is a tendency to question the manner in which it occurred or examine the player who made the play. In this instance, it seems like a normal football play that unfortunately for Brady ended badly. While the story is very notworthy for the injury and the impact on the Pats season, I think only a Pats fan thinks
" the story of the new NFL season is the Chiefs' safety after already haven been taking out of the play, lunges helmut first into Tom Brady's knee after the pass to Randy Moss had already made...
Funny but when Wolfork did the same to JP Losman last year even later in the play, all I heard from NE was how clean a player Wolfork was....- Posted 08/09/08 at 10:24 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

bob tillman from Hamilton, Canada writes: I was at the game and there was so much excitement in the air. It started at 8am with the famous Bills tailgate. You really can't beat their tailgating. Unfortunately, this will not exist at the game(s) in Toronto. It will be boring like everything Toronto! As long as the rich guys keep getting richer! eh! Please do not move the bills to Toronto. Give Toronto an NFL team if you want but leave the Bills in Orchard Park. That way ordinary football fans can afford to go see a game.

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Ryan M from Ottawa, Canada:
When the G&M sets off my crap detector by posting a top sports story saying that "Bills off to a perfect start" when the rest of the NFL world is talking about Brady and the Pats, who is being insufferable exactly?
The Hawks are an injury plagued non-contender and winning a game against the Seahawks cannot be construed as a "perfect start."
Otherwise, the Pats could be said to have got off to a "perfect start" too...
But, hey if you like the G&M spin, more power to ya'...
The Leafs and Jays are likely gonna win championships this year too.

The Grill from Canada writes: The Pats already invited Chris Sims to work out with the team today. That just shows you how serious the Brady injury is. He is likely gone for the rest of the season.
