Kings sign Stoll to four-year deal

Canadian Press

LOS ANGELES — Jarret Stoll is ready to start life with a new NHL team.

The 26-year-old forward agreed to a $14.4-million (U.S.), four-year contact with the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.

The Kings acquired Stoll from Edmonton in June as part of the trade that sent Lubomir Visnovsky to the Oilers.

Stoll was selected in the second round of the 2002 draft by Edmonton and spent the past four seasons in the Alberta capital.

In 286 career regular-season games, he has 59 goals and 165 points.
