You must of recovered from the hangover huh?
Did Howe get lost in the parade? He seems to have vanished.
Shouldn't Missing Persons be notified?

Thanks for those pics.
However, if you haven't yet been to God's country, I would highly recommend that you make the trip personally...
St. John's is the best city that I have ever lived in...
BTW That list includes Montreal and the Centre of the Universe to just name a few.

BRAVO Dan Clearly! Great that you respected your roots! Lots to learn by your example!
How could any Province, that is named after the 2 most loveable dogs in the world, not be the best??
Newfoundland-Labrador, you are the hidden GEM of this country. Now how do we toe the island about 400 miles south?
Yea, I know, you don't want to be invaded by CFA's, and no massive snow in the winter is a non-starter for snowmobilers.
Brad Gushue Gold medal. Now This?
What next? Danny Williams as Prime Minister?
Bring it on.......or do we need to really be number one in the world about everything if Danny really got a hold of this country?
Who cares if he doesn't speak French. Common sense and brilliance has no language!

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: R. Carriere from Maritimes:
Since we are the verge of entering a political discussion, we need to figure out how our Province deals Rodney for Danny W ?
We could even throw in $300,000 worth of child sized ATVs in the trade...
It might be easier than towing an entire island 400 miles south...
Newfoundlanders have previously rejected my requests for Williams' DNA to clone him as our Premier...

_____________
Come now RM:Does it get any better than having a school teacher-fiddle player as a Premier?
I would trade........Sidney Crisby (not Crosby-they might buy it-shrr) and the Fiddler for Danny Boy! We could throw in Sid's real dad, Peddie, and JFJ, and a cod fish to be named later.....maybe a lobster or two..
You said, "We could even throw in $300,000 worth of child sized ATVs in the trade..." That was funny.....
If it really got to be tough economics question--we send Scot Loucks down there to spend a week on George Street. The local economy would burst!
NL women " Gone Wild" new video-Deal done!
Scot? Need your input!

Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: Hard to believe Cleary is the first Newf ever to win a Stanley Cup..... I mean they certainly have ice.. most floating by in the ocean and the rest raining sideways during spring and fall.
Congrats to Cleary.... no such thing as a bad Newfie.....
Miller and Carriere.... can't say as I know too much about your eastern politics..... being surrounded by the GTA and liberals can make you kind of apathetic about such things.... and as Mr. Carriere knows.. I gave up the politico threads on the G&M once if found (semi)intelligent life on the sports threads.

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Scott Loucks:
I don't like talking politics either, but this one is a doozie...
Our grand and exalted fiddling, gym teacher of a Premier and his government recently took $300,000 of tax payer's money to buy a bunch of ATVs for little kids, but when they realized that the public was going to go ape ship about this expenditure, he tried to take them all back...
Hence, we had a 7 year old on the front page of our local paper yesterday holding up a sign saying that the Premier took away his state sponsored ATV that he has a God given right to have...
It was likely a low light of Provincial politics here...
On par with Stanfield dropping that football years ago.

Sure, throw in Sidney Crisby into the trade mix too...
Anything to replace rockin' Rodney...
Pretty sure that the Rock doesn't need another Crosby (or Crosbie) anyways...
Wonder why aren't any Newfoundlanders taking this trade bait ?

Actually Miller, I have been, several times, and I love it there. I'd go a hundred more times if I could. You're spot on calling it Gods Country. Canada has been my adopted home for as long as I can remember and eastern Canada is definately where I would go if the adoption ever became formalized.
A happy Canada Day to all of you!- Posted 01/07/08 at 3:35 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

You Wings guys are too classy to develop any serious disdain for.
But how will I irritate you and Gordo for next year's playoff season ?
Oh well, I am sure that I can still manage somehow...
Happy Independence Day to you and have a great summer.
