  1. andy c from Canada writes: so if Calderon is confident he'll sign with the raptors that would also mean BC is confident he can move Ford for something decent before training camp starts or an unofficial agreement is in place with another team.
  2. Brad Miller from Canada writes: Garbo was a great player in the first year, and was pretty tough to go through what he did and still want to play. But his decision to play for Spain while under contract with the Raptors was a massive setback and a frustrating experience for everyone. The fact that he sat out the whole year, still getting his $4 million dollar salary, and then is even considering playing for Spain again this summer, should require him to forfeit his 2009 salary. The Raptors having to pay him $2 million to buy out the contract is crap. They paid him all of last year because he was dedicated to Spain. There should be zero dollars required to buy out the contract, because last years decision should have voided the contract. Doing the same this year should just be the final justification.
  3. andy c from Canada writes: Brad Miller; you also have to consider the raptors were the ones who allowed garbo to play last year. they could have said no, we want you to recover.
  4. Allan Wexler from Canada writes: Brad - why the anger? Insurance is contributing to his salary for the year that he missed so the Raps aren't out of pocket. They permitted him to play as long as insurance was in place, so don't pity the Raps. Too bad Garbo can't play any more. He was a hard nosed guy, something that the Raps lack in spades. I still say that don't bet on calderon staying. Rumors of Clippers having interest may result in a sign and trade bringing someone like Corey maggete to Toronto.
  5. Vinthulan N from Toronto, Canada writes: Goos to hear Colderon is signing now we can trade ford. A trade i think may work out is JR smith for Tj Ford. Denver alwas needed a point guard because they think Chucky Atkins is'nt good enough and I think JR smith wil be a hihg scorer and plus he steps up when other players are down

Deal Parker Tj Brezec Baston Graham Rasho
Rasho Parker and Tj have big values so we can deal them for a rol bench player

Plater we should get: JR Smith , Yakhouba Diawara, Josh Smith, Mikael Peitrus, Jermaine Oneal ( if he would play benhced), We need an upgrade on the SG nd SF. Leave bargnani alone he'll develop into a top scorer. We need a backup C too buh Brian wil draft
  6. Jonathan L from New York, United States writes: Uh, Vinthulan... the things that come out of your corner. =P

    1. Honestly, do you think Denver is going to want a backcourt duo of Ford and Iverson? Great, two of the fastest guys in the league, but giving up inches galore on defense.

    2. Brezec is NOT a Raptor anymore, so you can stop including him in your list every single time.

    3. Jermaine O'Neal coming off the bench, are you kidding me? Even if he was content with the decision, aren't there better uses for his 21-23 mil a year salary than as a bench player? I'm glad you're not the GM. =P
  7. steve barnett from Ottawa, writes: What our your guys thoughts on a TJ, Kapono and the 17th pick to Miami for the #2 pick?
  8. Nolan K from Winnipeg, Canada writes: Jonathan L, you beat me to it. Well said. Vin, sorry but those idea's are very far fetched. How do we trade Joey, Brezec (not a Rap) and Baston for anything? What team would want them? @ ANDY C: Just because we are keeping Jose, doesn't automatically mean we are trading Ford. Not saying we are going to keep him, just saying that we aren't going to give him away because we managed to resign Jose. TJ is great and will only be traded for quality assets. @ Brad, you can't be mad at a player for wanting to play for his country! What if Gretzky didn't play for Canada because he didn't want to risk injury? Canada would be pissed! Garbo isn't the Gretzky of Bball in Spain, but he's up there in the Spaninsh ranks. Top 3 baller in Spain, so of course he wants to play for his country and his countrymen want him to play...if not, they expect him to play. Good for you Garbo, nothing but respect for the guy. @ ALLAN: We are not going to trade Jose for a player who can't be traded for. Magette is 99% sure he's opting out this year. Why would we trade for a guy when we can just sign him??? Plus, Magette may not be the guy we need. He's a starter but not a star. He's injury prone and has a lower basketball IQ, but he does slash to the hoop and play ok defence. I wouldn't be upset if we got him, but I think there are better pieces out there. lol, TJ and Iverson!!! hahaha!!! NEVER HAPPEN! Finally, steve barnett from Ottawa, writes: What our your guys thoughts on a TJ, Kapono and the 17th pick to Miami for the #2 pick? I think the Raps would pull the trigger, but would Miami? I personally would like to see Kapono used like he was in the playoffs. He is a spot up shooter (in my opinion) who likes to take a dribble or two towards the basket before he shoots. I say, don't dribble unless you are going to the hoop, just catch and shoot. He is among the best in the world at it and can start drawing more attention from defences if starts knocking them in.
  9. Nolan K from Winnipeg, Canada writes: Sorry about the essay! Slow day in the office...
  10. David F from Canada writes: It`s always a slow day in the office!!!
  11. David F from Canada writes: I think you would have to throw in another pick as well Nolan, maybe their second rounder.
  12. Vinthulan N from Toronto, Canada writes: Jr Smith is prefect in the Raps he is gonna be a future top scorer. Jermaine Oneal can play off the bench. A three way deal???? WE get JR some sucker gets tj and they get w.e.
Primoz,Baston, graham,tj,rasho, parker, delfino all should be dealt for someone good
  13. D D from Canada writes: Vin...your thoughts are like a 5 yr old's finger painting...only you can look at it long enough and find something rational amongst the random lines and blobs of paint.
  14. pecson ang from Scarborough, Canada writes: I hope Mr. Colangelo won't be getting Euro. players this year. Sam should give Humpries a chance to get back his confidence, Humpries also have the potential to help the raptors. Rasho & Primo should be use wisely by the coaching staff, both are behemoth players that can intimidate the middle. Raptors need proper rotation & good scouting report of the opponent. Hope Bargnani learn his lesson from 2007 can't expect to babysit him every game. Likewise for Sam Mitchell he should develop new plays & collect fresh ideas so his team can be competitive next season & advance to the 2nd round. Delfino should show some maturity in the game instead of being trigger happy with the basketball. I thought he did well defensively in the 1st qtr. of 2007. Hope no more distraction for TJ Ford, would be a loss letting him go. Sam should study the strong & weak point of his players not only who ever plays better every game. They are here with the purpose so try maximize their talent.
