  2. EJ Ravensbud from Canada writes: The Spokane goalie was outstanding, but couldn't make the final save of the trophy.
  3. Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: As a Kitchener resident for my teenage years.. who still has family there.. I was dissappointed. But credit the Spokane goalie. Nice hockey to watch between Detroit schoolings.

    Cheers
  4. Hap Stokes from Canada writes: The looks on those two Spokane players faces when the Chiefs Captain dropped the Cup will be around long after their pro days have ended.

Several players in the blueline victory line started grinning then laughing, actually it was kind of funny.

Thank you Kitchener--You put on a great show and you are exceptional hockey fans too.

Apparently Mastercard doesn't buy you a trophy that won't break in half. LOL

A masterful performance by Spokane, particularly the goalie. Good on them.
  6. Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: Ok... somebody come up with a three line "Priceless" on the trophy drop.

    Cheers
  7. brad maddigan from Canada writes: Is the Spokane kid in net drafted? The way Kitchener played all year, I wasn't worried when Mason went down. Obviously, I should have been. Unice was outplayed, which is unfortunate, because he did play well in OHL playoffs. In a one game, winner take all, hot goalie trumps outstanding offense.
  8. EJ Ravensbud from Canada writes: brad - Spokane beat Kitchener twice. No doubt about which team was best.
  9. Mike Anderson from Canada writes: This one-game-anything-can-happen cliche just doesn't pay enough respect to Spokane. The Chiefs went 4-0 over the past week; the hometown Rangers went 2-3 on their home ice.

And, for the record, I am an Ontario resident and a huge OHL booster. Our province's representatives just weren't good enough, plain and simple.
  10. Paul I from Rochester NY, United States writes: I'm sorry it's over. This was more fun to watch than the NHL playoffs. Great job guys. Thanks. How do I get to Rimouski from Rochester? (Don't tell me "practice" either)
  11. Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: Paul I.

    Via Vermont.

    Cheers
  12. Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: Paul I.

Via Vermont .. through the eastern townships.. you will love it.

They are Leaf fans.... and it's one of the best part of Quebec.

    Cheers

Some poor trophy company just lost a big contract, methinks.

    LOL
  14. Popeye Dillon from North Vancouver, Canada writes: The trophy was in about the same condition as the Grey Cup a few years ago. How do you like the WHL kids? Tougher, faster, stronger, and champions again. No chirpers on this site now is there?
  15. Mike M from Canada writes: I may sound a bit bitter..maybe I am actually ....but Kitchener ran up the score on Belleville 9-0. What goes around comes around.
  16. Paul I from Rochester NY, United States writes: Scot Loucks- Thanks. I am there next season for sure. I'm going to start brushing up on my french at the grand prix in Montreal in two weeks. Looking forward to visiting Quebec.

    Go Wings!
  17. Bill Smith from Canada writes: As usual no Canuck draft pick in sight.
  18. brad maddigan from Canada writes: Mike M, no lead was safe with Rangers. Belleville came back on them a number of times, so they were not taking anything for granted. Unice may have gotten a shutout in the semi final game, but he was shaky all week, and him missing the 2nd goal yesterday, was the TSN turning point. Leaves Kitchener fans asking what if we had Mason? Would it have made any difference? I don't know, but I do know they built this team to win this year, and mortgaged some of their future in the process. Yesterday, however, Spokane was the better team, and they wanted it more.
