  1. doug burt from writes: Bud Selig worrying about Maple bats....wow, what a pressing issue...this guy is a joke at anytime in the last 50 years has there been such a out-of-touch bunch of commissioners...Selig, Bettman with his hatred towardfs anythign Canadian, Finchem in golf with his Fedex Cup that NO ONE cares about...O'Brien in the NBA and his debacle of handling the Suns-Spurs playoff series last year.....and Godell in the NFL who wants to regulate the length of a players hair....thanks guys...

Governing boards can't all be bad, can they? Maple bats HAVE been SHATTER/SPLINTERING more than ash bats. Safety of players and fans should prevail.
  3. Jim Mohagan from steeltown, Canada writes: "We do have concerns on the pace of the game, and a lot of ideas," Selig said.

What?? Baseball too slow? Fans getting bored? Maybe they should introduce fighting - that'll perk 'em up.
