Ricky Blayney from Northern Ireland, writes: Unfortunately it is the injuries to Philly right now that are deciding this series. Playing without Timmonen is bad enough, playing without Coburn means going without their top 2 D-men and that is next to impossible for any team. If Pittsburgh had to get by without Gonchar and Whitney then the series score would probably be a mirror image of what it is right now. Still with two games in Philly to come and Coburn due back I dont see Philly continuing to lose games - they deserve a win.

Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: Carbo was right. These Flyers used up all of their lucky breaks in the previous two series.

John From New York from Huntington, United States writes: How can the Flyers say they have no luck. That goal that was disallowed after five minutes of replay was definitely over the line and should have counted. The game should'nt have been as close as it was. I also think Malkin played lousy. Not only did he give away the puck for Richards breakaway but he had a few other giveaways that did not result in Flyer goals.

Seb D from Ottawa, Canada writes: Luck ran out after round 2, I guess. Now, it'll take talent. Bye-bye Philly.

M Liggins from Perth, Canada writes: Interesting that when the luck runs out, the dirt ramps up, look for Stevens to add to Clydesdale Hatchers ice time.
If not for cross checking and goonery, there wouldn't be much to this philthy team.
Stevens whingeing about refereeing is quite rich......- Posted 12/05/08 at 12:38 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Shoaltsy writes that Philly "miss one element from Game 1 -- luck"...
Yeah.... that and scoring.....and defence.... and toughness.... and discipline.... and talented players like Malkin, Crosby, Hossa and Roberts.... Am I missing anything here?
Cheers.- Posted 12/05/08 at 1:29 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Jeff O from Canada writes: Our friend in Northern Ireland called it - nobody wins at this stage of the season unless they stay healthy. Without Timonen and Coburn, it's amazing Philly played as well as they did.
Comments from the likes of Seb D and M Liggins are just bitter Habs/Sens/Leafs fans trying to squeeze a little pleasure form another team's misfortune. Rather sad to see them exposed as the tiny, bitter people they are.- Posted 12/05/08 at 1:38 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Trilly B from Canada writes: Philly's been quite the surprise this playoff. They can be proud of what they've done, especially looking back at this time last year. But sooner or later, the low-seeded teams get weeded out. The Pens are simply a class above.
If Dallas and Philly don't win their next ones, there are two other teams hurtling toward each other in what ought to be a helluva final.- Posted 12/05/08 at 3:02 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: Agreed that the Flyers are an amazing story. From the basement to the Conference Finals in one year? Remarkable. Holmgren and Stevens have done a spectacular job with this team. They'll battle right to the finish, even without their two top D-men. That's character. On the other hand, we all want to see the Pens against the Wings. What a great final that would be.
