  1. steve allan from Canada writes: Why am I not surprised this guy's a Flyer.

Just another reason to hate the Flyers.

    Go Pens Go!!
  2. Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: Let's support the Hell's Angels....great idea Riley. This guy may have the IQ of a dump truck.

Thug for life, on and off the ice.
  3. Bill Smith from Saskatchewan, Canada writes: Actually, Pat Billings... you don't know anything if you're think he's a thug either on or off the ice. On the ice he's done what he has to do to play in the NHL. Obviously, there's work for him if he's playing even if it is 3 of 12. How many did games you play in the NHL?

As far as off the ice, there aren't many who do more good things than him. I think you should remind yourself of the old adage "It is better to be thought of a fool, than to blog and remove all doubt"

    Cheers.
  4. Chris Michaels from Oakville, Canada writes: If I were making the amount of money these guys are, I think I'd slightly adapt my My Space page to help ensure the cheques keep coming in.

Bit of an idiot, I'd say. But, would ya expect much more?

Wonder if he and Theodore chat a lot!!
And I wonder if Riley will change his tune if his cousin's buddies start extorting some of his paycheques away.

For the sake of everyone, I wish athletes would keep their colours to themselves.
  5. Chris Michaels from Oakville, Canada writes: ...quick addendum...As Bill Smith mentions, Cote does do a lot of good things in the community -- and I don't for a minute think that should be overlooked.

If we're going to criticize, we have to give him his due credit.
  6. Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: Just because Cote earns an NHL paycheque, he doens't get a free pass for dumb behavior. Charity stuff is great but the players not doing it are the ones in the minority.

From the following quotes, it's pretty obvious, he thinks the Hell's Angels are pretty cool and he supports what they do.

"I'm not going to forget where I came from. That's probably where my role is coming from -- an on-ice version of what he's doing."

"My cousin happens to be involved in that. It's a lifestyle. If he's not going to do it, the next guy's going to do it. There's money to be made. And if you knew him, he's probably the most genuine, nicest guy you'd meet in your life. Just don't stomp on his toes."
  7. Jack Cunningham from Vancouver, Canada writes: The Pens will think twice before taking him down with a hit!
