  2. Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: The Penguins don't need to adjust to Timmonen's absence. The Flyers, however, do. Based on the tonight's game so far, we are seeing what happens when Geno Malkin gets his dander up. Ask Martin Biron. Malkin is a monster. Hopefully this (and the West final) will end soon so we can watch the Pens and Wings go at it.
  3. D M from Canada writes: "While much of the hockey world substantially discounted the Flyers' chances of upsetting the Penguins in the Eastern Conference final when their best defenceman was lost for the rest of the playoffs due to a blood clot in his ankle"

Wha--? What color is the sky in YOUR "hockey world"?!? Very few gave the Flyers a flying f... if a chance of upsetting WITH Timonen (let alone making it by Montreal), let alone without. And Dave above is right, why WOULD Pittsburg "adjust"?? It's the other way around.. Philly's gotta do some scraping to make up for his loss. I know writers have to find a hook for stories, but this is really a lame approach to this.
  4. Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: Flyers started strong tonight, but Timmonen's absence really showed. The Richards giveaway that led to Malkin's shorthander broke Philly's back, and the rest of game was basically a standoff with the Pens in control. The Flyers have a lot of heart, but Pittsburgh matches them in the blood n' guts department. Malkin is unbelievable. How does Philly stop this guy?
