steve allan from Canada writes: They have to re-sign Streit and Halak. Streit had some difficulties but he is a very good player. The Habs can't afford to lose him. And they must not lose Halak as he will be taking over the goaltending chores once the team realizes that Price is a fraud.

Richard Lovegrove from Toronto, Canada writes: Buddy, how can Price be a fraud with everything he's achieved? You'll eat your words. That said, a veteran to back him up a la Cujo would be great.
Habs fans needing a good laugh should check out this Youppi! video, too funny.

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: I think that Habs fans need to recognize that Price is just 20 years old, and there are few jobs in Canada that entail as much stress as playing nets in Montreal during the playoffs.
Price is and will continue to be a great goaltender. One doesn't win the Gold Medal and the Tournament MVP at the World Juniors without a lot of talent. Price just needs a little more time to develop at the NHL level.
As a team, the Habs accomplished alot this year. They were simply beaten by a better team in Philadelphia who deserve congratulations both for winning this series and overcoming their past antics by playing disciplined hockey in this series.

Popeye Dillon from North Vancouver, Canada writes: I've seen Price play quite a few games when he was in the WHL and the kids going to be a star. If Hab fans think he's a dog lets make a deal with the Canucks. We'll take Price, Ryder and a draft pick for Luongo, and Bourdon. Luongo is a Montrealer on the last year of his contract and probably would want to be in the same time zone as his wife who apparently doesn't like rainy weather: Wonder how she'll like the snow in Montreal? Bourdon is strong offensively but a little sloppy in his own zone, but that's why the Habs are golfing right now anyway so he'll fit in. Ryder seems to need a change of address. We've got lots of Newfs out here so he'll be right at home. But the Habs wouldn't likely make that deal because the coach and management know what they've got right now.

As a Habs Fan, I think Price will be great - he's only 20. That being said - I'd take that trade if the pick wasn't a first rounder. Loungo is the number one goalie in the world right now, despite how the season ended.- Posted 05/05/08 at 12:54 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Popeye Dillon from North Vancouver, Canada writes: Ian: Some nights you could say Luongo is #1 other nights # 101. We needed to steal one game in the last seven down the stretch to make the playoffs. I don't know what for because we would have gone out in four anyway. Great goaltender who might be here one more year on a team that's got to rebuild long term. Maybe a second rounder thrown in would do it.

Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: RDS reported today that Price played round two with an injury. I suspect that hand that was bashed by Richards had either bone or nerve damage. In light of that, it would seem Carbo and Gainey took Price out for Game 4, hoping that the special glove he wore in Game 5 would protect that injured hand. We saw the result. Price is burdened with expectations that are ludricrous, and goalies generally take several years to mature. Not to take anything away from Christo, but Huet did not deliver for the Habs and he is too injury-prone to be a #1 (as both '07 and '08 show). Montreal's rise to conference champ and making it to the second round is a huge leap from last year, and years previous. Gainey very much needs depth at center and for his young bruisers to develop to add some bulk. Habs were always best when they had a least a few hard cases (Ferguson, Bouchard, Lambert, Nilan, Odelein, Brashear, Robinson) to back up the skill guys. PS there are no frauds in pro hockey. There are, on the other hand, frauds who debase hockey forums.
