wild colonial manc from Tameside, Canada writes: Might not need the cells....I was at Old Trafford last September to see United beat Chelsea and there was no separation of supporters after the match...I'm not saying it was a "love in" but it was a far cry from post City or Liverpool affairs...

It makes want to sing (after drinking several big cans of Heineken and watching the game on my bigscreen Sony Bravia) " THE CHAMPIONS!!!"- Posted 01/05/08 at 3:22 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Martyn Whitt from Canada writes: Wild Colonial Manc...that is because most of your Utd supporters aren't even from the U.K. hahaha! You got some middle class students from places like Japan, Australia, Canada all there for a big rave!!! It is Madchester after all. Oh I went to a Liverpool Chelsea game at Anfield and no violence or troubles either, used to see groups of away support wandering around Lime Street station waiting for their trains back to the home counties minding their own business. Come on, look it that was a low blow in regards to Liverpool support, and you know it. Violence can kick off at ANY football ground, given that some Liverpool supporters died tragically in the Leppings End at Hillsborough 20 years ago through no fault of their own you should have some sensitivity...come on man give yer head a shake, Man Utd support is friendly unlike City or Liverpool, that is insane!

wild colonial manc from Tameside, Canada writes: Martyn: get some new material mate...that "no United supporters from Manchester" guff is a stale as it is mythical...and I've been to matches v City and Liverpool...there are numpties in all camps...some of the worst aggro I've been caught in was in the lower divisions going with my cousin who supports Stockport County and getting into scrapes that don't make the papers...I was commenting on OT and the way that the crowds are policed now...so "calm down, calm down" you'll have a thrombosis...

Martyn Whitt from Canada writes: All right your second post I have no issues with, I'll take back my no united supporters are from Manchester quip as you've said that aggro can happen at any match which is what I was saying more than anything. I took a little offence that you singled out Liverpool given some of their history I lept to their defence.
