  1. Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: 1993 Patrick Roy = 2008 Danny Briere...that's a complete joke.

Briere's play has not made much of a difference in this series.
  2. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Am I having Deja Vu or is this a rehash of an earlier article ?
  3. steve allan from Canada writes: The guy is grossly overrated. He had one of the worst plus/minus ratings in the NHL this year and consistently ranks amongst the worst in that category. Most of his points come on the power play but he is a colossal liability at even strength.

I said at the beginning of this series that the key to stopping him was to prevent him from hanging around the side of the net where he collects all of his garbage goals. Daniel Briere - the NHL's Garbage Man.
  4. chris dangelo from United States writes: Series 3-1, Briere one of the top scorers in the playoffs. What else is there to really say?

We are in your head Pat, you can't escape us. Marty Biron is still haunting you. You can't be getting much sleep.
  5. Mike C from Philadelphia, United States writes: Here we go with how bad the plus/minus was... garbage man blah blah blah... He's also one of the leaders in points in the playoffs. Hasn't made much of a difference, eh? I think scoring a goal with 3 minutes left in a tied game is a HUGE difference. In fact, it was THE difference. I can see the pouting right through the world wide web... cri, cri, cri. Maybe when the Habs go to church on Sunday, they can ask to be forgiven for letting the whole country down. Geaux noir et orange.

    Cheers
  6. Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: It's going to take a lot more than a PP goal for Briere to hold Patrick Roy's jock....let alone be compared to his 93 performance.
  7. Mike C from Philadelphia, United States writes: At least the Flyers won't be holding their jocks after this weekend. Can't say that for the Habs.
  8. Neil no more last name from Mississauga, Canada writes: Pat - you're so bitter, and it is so evident.

I'm not sure what the big deal is - did MTL really need another small, sneaky forward?
  9. John Stanton from Canada writes: Of the three big free agents, Briere has made the biggest impact for sure. Bet the Rangers wish they had Briere as well as the Canadiens.
  10. Mike C from Philadelphia, United States writes: Big ups for John. If Briere had gone to the Habs, that whole province would have him on some currency and had a Danny Briere Day. Drury and Gomez are about to start their summer and Danny "the difference" Briere is on the brink of the conference finals. It was quiet here for most of the afternoon, sadly. It's very entertaining. Have a good weekend.

    Cheers... to the Flyers
  11. chris dangelo from United States writes: As usual, John Stanton makes perfect sense.
