It seemed pretty obvious to me that Canada was a a more talented team, and much bigger and stronger, but it would have been a 0-0 draw in regulation if a Mexican defender hadn't tripped over her own feet setting up the break away goal by Tancredi. One striker!? It is possible to win a game when the other team scores, but it is not possible to win a game when you don't score anything.

With this philosophy in China, playing against teams that are as talented as Canada, we will have no chance. Not to mention it is a lot more fun pulling for a team that is trying to win, rather than one that is simply playing not to lose, and whose plan for scoring depends on the opponents making a mistake.

It was nice to see Tomko get some time. She played an important role as a sub, and I do not understand why her playing time this year has been so limited.
