Carole Yeaman from Almonte (Ottawa), Canada writes: Thanks for the date, Roy - a big sticker goes on June 9th on my calendar (back to Coronation St. on CBC @ 7 pm). Last year my car flew the Sens flag for months. This year it lies limp & ragged in the back window. I'll hide in some good books for the next 10 days, then I MIGHT have reason to revive that semi-shredded penant. But I deeply suspect that I shall just continue to whittle away at my neglected pile of books to June 9th and beyond. When's the '08-'09 season opener? Oh, what the heck - go on then Sens go. After these past few months I just haven't got the spirit left to work up a ***GO***SENS***GO-O-O-O-O-O***

Tom Sawyer from Canada writes: Dont bet on european captain raising the puck. The real teams out there have them. Canadians wont be disappointed watching a CANADIAN raise the Cup again!

Andrew Bisson from Ottawa, Canada writes: Nice subtle dig MacGregor, in honour of your favourite team. "Some fans of the Sens" said the Ducks were allowed to play pre-lockout hockey?! That is ridiculous. When will the excuses end? The Ducks were by far the better team, and had the most Canadians on their team in the league. They wanted it more.

Buck Rogers from Canada writes: last comment is interesting - I've read other posts here that say MacGregor HATES the sens and his writing shows why. So which is it? or is it a love/hate relationship?

Number One Leafs Fan from Toronto, Canada writes: Do people actually like the Sens? The city is a hole and the team reflects that.

Andrew Bisson from Ottawa, Canada writes: Anyone that thinks MacGregor doesn't cheer for the Sens probably thinks Joe Bowen doesn't cheer for the Leafs.
Re-read that paragraph on Obstruction. It really has no place in the article, other than for a place for MacGregor to essentially blame the league and the refs for the Sens losing last year.
The parade to the penalty box continued in the post-season last year, contrary to what Sens fan MacGregor writes. The refs aren't letting up, which makes the games more boring to me. Power play after power play does not equal exciting goals. Powers plays mean shots from the point.
I'm all for the crackdown on obstruction in the neutral zone, but the refs have to let the players battle in front of the net and in the corners.- Posted 09/04/08 at 11:41 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Number One Leafs Fan from Toronto, Canada writes: Leave Joe Bowen out of this... he calls a fair game and does a good job remaining objective. Can't say the same for Roy and the other Sen cheerleaders however...
