Spoke to a couple of Blue Jays types tonight who tell me they would not be surprised if the negotiations on Alex Rios' extension go up until Opening Day, but I don't get the feeling anybody's panicking about it.
We're scoreless through four innings here. The Blue Jays have made a couple more errors, Frank Thomas is still off-balance and just rolled into a double-play. But Jesse Litsch continues his remarkable unremarkable spring, getting ground-ball outs when he needs them. Aaron Hill's put in yeoman work on a couple of double plays, surviving a brutal up-ending by Ryan Freel, who tapped him on the head after the play was over.
Vernon Wells doesn't have any results to show for it, but he's been hitting the ball hard now for about a week.
