Bubba The Pas Huskies from The Pas Manitoba, Canada writes: Ok, I'll go first.
The Raps don't have a mean, aggressive bone in their collective body. Period. That said, the chance of moving through the first round would only be enhanced if they were playing against a group of Girl Scouts.
Playoffs are about grit and determination and unfortunately, team Canada is sorely lacking. Our leader CB, will again be beaten up by double teams and by stronger, more physical players. We will need to shoot out the lights just to be in the game. That said, I really enjoy rooting for this group of nice guys. How can you not want to see Moon overachieve, Parker coming out of the sands of Israel or Rasho doing his best imitation of the Kokanee BigFoot...
I hope the Raps follow somewhat the lead of Boston, who surrounding Pierce (i.e.Bosh) with two all star studs. And I hope Bosh has the guts to squash his pride and allow others to take commanding roles.
Best thing that could happen tomorrow night is for Delfino and Hump to throw the bodies around and let the Pistons know it won't be easy...- Posted 25/03/08 at 9:51 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Rich Chan from Vancouver, Canada writes: I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the Raps use this game and come out of their slump in a big way. Bosh addressed the slump that this team is having, and when that happened last year, they started pulling together. I see the same happening here. Raps will win this game, let's just try not to meet them in the opening round please.

andy c from Canada writes: Bubba; even if the raps came out and played aggressive i dont think it would matter. the pistons are more talented then the raps at every position (rasheed has shown what he can do against bosh defensively). cept at PG where calderon will own billups.... right rog?

Roger S from Canada writes: If you replace Calderon with Billups, Raptors will not do better. Jose has more impact to his own team. He manages the team and controls the game flow in every aspect.
I think Raptors have capability to beat Detroit. If they can beat Boston in Boston, I think they can beat any team. The key is to play team basketball, and establish good game flow and momentum. Those can’t be done in one day. Since TJ Ford returned, he has done huge damages to the team. It is going to be very hard to beat Detroit with TJ in roster. It will be even more difficult if Sam comes up demonstrating his unintelligent coaching again.
Raptors are only two pieces away to be competitive against any team in NBA. At this moment, it is extremely difficult to do anything with Sam/TJ combo around.- Posted 26/03/08 at 6:31 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

emoncada Toronto from Canada writes: hey Rog... i think the days of TJ in raps uniform is about to end. the sr management realize they cannot keep both PG and next year Calderon will be asking for more pay

andy c from Canada writes: emoncada; i have that feeling as well. the toronto writers are hinting that trading Ford is a option that BC is willing to explore. Rog; if both the raps and pistons played at there top level i still dont like the raps chances.

CLEMENT CHAN from Mississauga, Canada writes:
Dave Feschuk of the stars take a jab at Bosh yesterday about the raps funk. Seems better than someone beating up Bargnani, Racho or anyone else for the slump.
Grange reports the possibility of Mitchell starting TJ in lieu of Calderon today. As much as I being a Calderon fan and TJ hater, I am perfectly fine with this possible arrangement for the following reason.
Mitchell has to follow what his heart tells him. If he thinks it is better for Ford to start or close the game, go ahead by all means. Because if inside Mitchell he feels better for Ford to be on the floor but he is obligated to start Calderon, then Mitchell will be like a handicapped duck and got messed up. Hey Sam, as much as Jose has helped out the team big time, you do not owe Jose anything. Jose is being professional and so are you.
Jose, not like the other, is a team player and he will do anything to help the team win. Notwithstanding so, Sam, it will do no harm if you can go up to Jose, pat his back and explain a bit to him to seek his understanding.- Posted 26/03/08 at 12:32 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Big Cayman from South Toronto, Canada writes: I'm not sure whay you're expecting: The Raptors have lost both games against Detroit this season by an average of 15 points, and have dropped 10 of the last 12 meetings. Detroit meanwhile has won 50 games fror the 7th straight season. The Motor City keeps on rolling.
