  1. Rob C from Nepean, Canada writes: This guy's moving parts are made of chrystalized sugar - I love the way he plays, but I think he is too small, or delicate - or something. It is now time to trade him, assuming he can recover - this is extrememly frustrating....He is taking up cap and roster space for not much contribution...If he stayed healthy, he could be a solid 4th or 5th - but he is on crutches more often than skates...
  2. JEFF S from HAMILTON, Canada writes: Time to part ways. He's got alot of talent, but its not effective from the press box.
  3. Neil no more last name from Mississauga, Canada writes: Poor guys legs are made of dry twigs.

Could be good, if he could stay healthy. They won't get much in return for a trade. Don't know if there is a point.
  4. uncle rukus from Mississauga, Canada writes: MR. GLASS
  5. Kevin Cochrane from Clear Lake, Manitoba, Canada writes: This kid has some kind of gypsy curse put on him. He's not delicate, as some like to put it, he hits and plays like Scott Stevens on a D-line that is mostly Ice Capades-caliber in terms of toughness. Foolish to trade him, he tries every night and that is a rare commodity on this team. Big Nik was gettin injured all the time and had a pretty good season for the first time until very recently injured and supposedly that was due to off-ice conditioning this past summer which was a first for him. I don't know, get him in touch with Dick Pound and get him on 'roids or something?
  6. Paul I from Rochester NY, United States writes: Hockey is a business. Make a business decision. Get rid of him. He is too delicate to play in the NHL. Get a draft pick, get something, but get rid of his contract ASAP.
  7. Kevin Cochrane from Clear Lake, Manitoba, Canada writes: Holy crap Leaf fans! What a bunch, trade him, trade him, trade him. If he's no good who you gonna trade him to and for what? A 5th round pick of the frozen-dugout league? Take a deep breath for once.
  8. Paul I from Rochester NY, United States writes: Kevin- what would your solution be? Continue to see if he might be able to play a full season? The experiment is over. Stop wasting cap money on him.
  9. Bobby S from Toronto, Canada writes: He's got the Nik Antropov ailment. He'll be a top notch defenceman in about 4 years. Until then, Leaf fans are just going to have to wait it out, cause they ain't going to get much back for him.
  10. Paul I from Rochester NY, United States writes: Bobby S- My point exactly! We are tired of waiting for things to happen. We will get nothing for him now, and nothing 4 years from now. Quit sinking money into a lost cause.Maybe Cliff can salvage a decent draft pick. I would rather have Fletcher try and negotiate a deal now than the bozo who will be warming the seat 4 years from now. Keep in mind that Cliff Fletcher is the best GM the Leafs have seen for many moons and he will be the best we are going to see for a long time.
  11. George Hall from Canada writes: Carlo has a very tight build ..I think to have a good career he needs to stretch more
  12. Arron D from Canada writes: Stick a fork in him, he's done.

He can't keep up with the pounding that top 4 D's take. It's too bad, he was good, but only when compared to the rest of Toronot's D.

Is medical care anything more than a concept in Toronot?
  13. R A from Canada writes: Hey Arron, maybe he could get on that white powder treatment that is so popular in Nottawa?
  14. Rob C from Nepean, Canada writes: We don't know those details aaron, we're all too busy working hard, generating tax revenue to make sure Ontario keeps up the transfer payments - and to make sure no one freezes to death in the dark in places like Ottawa.
  15. Bobby S from Toronto, Canada writes: Rob C from Nepean, Canada writes: We don't know those details aaron, we're all too busy working hard, generating tax revenue to make sure Ontario keeps up the transfer payments - and to make sure no one freezes to death in the dark in places like Ottawa.

    HA HA HA HA HA
  16. Ed Op from Canada writes: It's gotta be conditioning. Did you see that hit? It was nothing! He bumped into the boards for chrissake! I agree the guy's got some talent and plays hard when he's there but if he's this fragile he just can't play in the NHL. Hockey is a contact sport. Either he figures out a way to toughen up or he switches to soccer or something. Cut him loose already.
  17. J.C. Petite from Toronto, Canada writes: Carlo Colaiacovo is injured......rinse and repeat.....rinse and repeat.
  18. DT . from Canada writes: Oh no! Now the Leafs might not make the playoffs! Life's not fair!
  19. Jake ---- from Canada writes: R A from Canada writes: Hey Arron, maybe he could get on that white powder treatment that is so popular in Nottawa?

Do you know that Nottawa is an actual town up near collingwood. And from what I can see there is alot of people in Nottawa on the white powder treatment.
  20. Richard Hawrelak from Sarnia, Canada writes: Rob C from Nepean, Canada writes: This guy's moving parts are made of chrystalized sugar - I love the way he plays, but I think he is too small, or delicate.

Rob, I agree with you 100%. And this year in the OHL I can point to a number of smaller players who fit that description. In Sarnia, our Mark Katic, Vlad Nikiforov and Steve Ferry would do well in a no-hit NHL. The Sarnia Sting Draft selection team are blinded by lower level brilliance but miss on future grit potential ... those players that can withstand the heavy NHL [gladiator] traffic.
  21. Bob Stanley from Toronto, Canada writes:

Crazy how there is still Leaf articles...team's missed the playoffs for 3 straight years!
  22. Sean O'Reilly from Canada writes: I cannot believe that this is one of the top articles on the sports headlines.

Media in Canada really needs to do a better job in their coverage of sports and not just hockey.
  23. Robert Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Bob Stanley from Toronto, Canada:

    You're nuts!!!

The Leafs are still in the midst of a playoff hunt -- TM !!

Apparently, the G&M owns 15% of the MLS&E franchise, why do the last two posters expect anything different?

    Gotta sell one's product, right?
  24. D K from Canada writes: But they're still going to win the cup right?
  25. Arron D from Stan's Home, Canada writes: R A;
the kid can't take a hard stare without needing a week off to recover. Maybe if he had any balls, 'Nottawa' woulda picked him up as a power snorter, but as it is, he could hardly make 3rd string 'cutter'( which explains why he's so successful in Toronot, the town success forgot).

Enjoy your early spring cottage time with Tuckup and his fabulous margarita recipes!
  26. Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: Bob Stanley... you click on the articles and you comment.... complaining about too many leaf articles. You were on the Antropov thread as well.

    You sir are clueless...

If nobody read the articles or commented on them... there wouldn't be any. So you add to your own misery.

    Too funny.
  27. Archibald Leach from Canada writes: He just needs more Kevlar. If the NHL was non-contact he would only be injured 50% of the time. I would keep him one more year and if the injuries keep on happening then part ways, although I know the definition of stupidity .......
  28. Rob C from Nepean, Canada writes: Oh, we know he could make the Sens, but that wasn't the issue. For instance, Carlo Coliacovo would be more valuable to the 'turds on IR half the time than Wade Redden is playing every game. What are they paying him again?....(Arron: what are you going on about? Your heart transpant wait listers will be at their cottages a week later than the Leafs)...Leaf nation is used to disappointments, but the Leafs have beaten those invertibrates each and every time it counts - I just wish they were in the playoffs again this year, only because without a shadow of a doubt, they'd do it again. In the meantime, the Raptors and the Jays will do just fine, but thanks for your concern. What's going on in Ottawa? - I hear rumours of a Blue Rodeo concert coming.
