Officially official

Globe and Mail Blog Post

It's officially official: Chris Bosh will be playing tonight. The technoligically savvy all-star put the word out on his web site last night and confirmed in person today after shoot-around. He and Mitchell were both vague about playing time, other than Bosh said his plan is to play hard and ask for a sub when tired, which seems reasonable. Is he the magic man who can make everything all right for the Raptors again? They have 15 games or so to find out. I was curious about his take on his buddy T.J.'s struggles. Here's what Bosh said:

"I'm not a point guard so I don't know what it takes to get back or anything, he has so many responsibilities. Sometimes things don't go your way so it's a little frustrating but he has to stay with it and I know he's strong enough to do that so he'll be fine.

Has this recent stretch changed how you look at him or your faith in him?

"No. We know what's there. Between all the frustration and everything we know what he's capable of and what kind of guy he is. He's our guy, he's one of the two point guards that carry this team. We have to rely on him a lot."
