  1. M Spiker from Ottawa, Canada writes: Gee Garbo if you had listened to the Barney's doctors this wouldn't have happened and you would be helping the team now. But no you wanted to play for Spain and your federation fed you a line because they couldn't care less about your NBA team.

Just admit your priority is to rehab so you can play in Beijing regardless of what it might do to the Barney's in 09 if you get hurt again.
  2. Roberto Capretta from Canada writes: Do you think any NBA team is going to let their player play for Spain if ithis does not get resolved? Will the Lakers let Gasol play? The Spanish Federation better take heed.

What is baffling is that last summer's competition for Spain did not mean anything. Garbo should have had his surgery then, possibly played in the playoffs this year and would have been fine for the Olympics.

Note to Garbo: The Raptors are covering themselves regarding the liability with respect to the phrase "career ending injury". It may not be mentioned to you, but is a possibility and the Raptors are trying to do their due diligence.
