  2. P McLean from Canada writes: So it's ok to use sports as a political tool when awarding these events(how else does Beijing get awarded something like this), but not afterwards? Or did I miss something and these issues didn't exist in 01-02 when the vote took place to have the Olympics there?

Careful who you get into bed with Euro types...I wonder how they'll feel in the E.U. if their citizens get into a tizzy over the issue? Put them in a tough place.
