  2. JIm Smith from Canada writes: Terrible news for the people of BC. Not only do we lose him for our regional games, but this is a sure sign we'll soon be losing him on the late game of HNIC. Good for him, but terrible for us out west, especially BC.

All kidding aside, listening to Cole do a game is like listening to play by play of a Leafs practice...at least Hughson knows there are 2 teams on the ice and calls the game...best thing CBC could do now - show the loafs in s. ont and get the good teams some air time...it'll be 10 or 20 years before the leafs have a decent team again, so why not show teams that actually have talented hockey players who win games on the TV?

    Good signing though. Hughson is not one of these so called "modern" announcers, who really don't announce as much as yell and scream at every possible hint of even a whiff of a possible scoring chance.

  9. D. Day from Delta House, Canada writes: I don't hate him like I hate bob cole - but I don't enjoy Hughson's work at all...his voice is like fingernails on a chalk board...it's too bad, no new blood coming along - and it is badly needed
