Normand LaBine from Winnipeg, Canada writes: This is amazing! I don't watch our Football games any more, because too many of the players are from the US NFL. But I'm amazed to see this use of Public Clarity as a backdrop to imposing wage control, trade control, and contract limits in what is considered an Icon of the Competitive Free market system!
The best guys became the best not because they got more money, but because they had more skill and talent. Any athlete can rise to the top. If the top is a plateau, they'll go to the NFL and we'll have what left over? Excuse me?
Soccer players in Mexico have better deals, and some play for US and Mexican soccer teams at the same time!
Hey, its your business, but if we aren't recruiting Canadian players from some great University teams or highschool teams, well with this socialist ploy to make the business fairer, the fact is the US players will stay home, and your caps will happen organically. I guess our kids work cheaper. At least we'll have more Canadians playing. Now if we only had a Canadian-owned brewery, too.- Posted 25/02/08 at 12:42 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

R. M. from Regina, Canada writes: The headline had me confused for a bit...I thought they might be referring to the Afghan mission but then I realized that the CFL is just as political as Ottawa so transparency is a big issue in professional sports as well.
