Allan Wexler from Toronto, Canada writes: This is a risky trade inasmuch as Rolen's production has been on the downward slide for a couple of years now. He never had the homerun power of Glaus and on a team which was strapped for power, the loss of Glaus may be huge. On the positive side, Rolen is a terrific fielder, perhaps making up on the infield for the inclusion of Eckstein who is no Johnny Mac in the field. In light of the injuries that Glaus had here, playing on the Rogers surface, this is probably a good deal. At least the Jays have a formidable 3rd baseman, with, hopefully, some more gas in his tank.
