  1. JEFF S from Canada writes: Ahhh...the Christmas season. Time for TSN's annual tradition of shoving Pierre Mcguire down our throats!
  2. Robert Kagan from Not a Leaf fan, Canada writes: Go Canada go!! My favourite hockey!! I love it
  3. Jeff Gulley from Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, Canada writes: Clark the Mighty, I've tolerated your bullcrap in the past, but this most recent posting of yours shows that you have absolutely no knowledge of the finest sport in the world.

Dropping the gloves? Canada has enough trouble keeping out of the box in international hockey, so no, I don't think that will be the only way to win this year. They'll have to resort to the superior skill that they usually do.

As a Canadian living and working in the Czech Republic, your call to action for someone to take out the 'first Czech' embarrasses me. You are not a true Canadian at heart.

As for everyone else, enjoy the tournament, and look for me on TV...I'll be there wearing the red and white!
  4. harvey jingley from United States writes: Hey! What has Jeff Gulley ever done but come on these boards and root for Canada? Leave him alone, eh?

And, er, dropping the gloves is against the rules in international hockey (it can result in you getting thrown out of the tournament, see: 1987 World Juniors) and, now THIS might be sanctimonious but BEER? most of the team is not of legal drinking age (although I think the Czech Republic“s drinking age is a lax 18). I would prefer the guys drink the beer you offer them AFTER the tournament thank you very much.

    GO CANADA GO! ALLEZ CANADA!
  5. Clark The Mighty from Canada writes: Just Win.

When you go into the lion's den, you need to go in blazing.

    GO CANADA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Jeff Gulley from Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, Canada writes: Now Mike, would you also call our troops in Afghanistan 'sanctimoniously phony' for being abroad as well. I don't think you would, so don't expect me to apologize if my career choice takes me outside of Canada's borders too.

However, I will apologize to Clark...I overreacted a bit....I just have to shake my head when I see a supposed hockey fan calling for injuries to other players. Especially since Canadian hockey already has a bad enough reputation over here, and (FYI Mike) I'm a staunch defender of it. Play hard, dig deep, hit away....no problem...but a call to arms for injury? That's not hockey.
  7. Billy Biroux from Polar Bear Pit, Nunavet, Canada writes: Harvey Jingle.
Why not stick to watching those worthless football bowl games in your country, instead of making fun of our sports?

You know college football eh? Where degrees in basket weaving and bowling abound? Where a player can 'graduate' after 4 years and not be able to spell his name?

Oh, but he helped his team won the Lysol Bowl for old Hillbilly State!
So what he flips burgers the rest of his life? What a joke.
