Ziad Fazel from Calgary, Canada writes: Welcome back, Obie. Aside from your football experience, you give great quotes. May your nasal wit remain as sharp, and cut through the bland corporate-speak many sports players or management drone out nowadays.

Andrew D from Toronto, Canada writes: Well, no one's going to say that the Ti-Cats went for a rookie this time. As an Argo fan, I'm bred to hate the Ti-Cats, but even I hope to see a renaissance in Steeltown. Those fans deserve better. Good luck, Obie.

Malcolm Bromley from Victoria, Canada writes: Hmmm ... 'twas to be expected - Obie has the knowledge, the experience, the contacts, and the track record to contribute greatly to the future success of the Tabbies. At 67, he will want to see results sooner rather than later, and here's hoping that Hamilton and it's long-suffering fans will also enjoy a Grey Cup victory in the near future! As for the Leos on the west coast, they will now need to depend more than ever on Buono's connections - and those of Dave Richie (better sign him up quickly Wally!)

dan vanman from vancouver, Canada writes: Great for Obie, he deserves another GM post. Bad for the Leos, he brought some great talent to the team. Cam Wake is just the most recent example. Big shoes to fill.

Flames Forever from Canada writes: Obie was a great Director of Player Personnel with Calgary and BC.. same with Roy Shivers.. but a GM the jury is still out.. I bet Roy will get Obie's old job in BC due to his past affiliation with Wally Buono
