  1. Miro Kliment from Winnipeg, Canada writes: It was a lesson in amature vs professional soccer...In the Czech Rep...we have 3 professional leagues and a couple of amature ones,who sometimes outplay the "pros" etc....

    Canadians should have won 1:0,had the goalie had any quality.{I hate to see to come down on one individual}
  2. Sinhaya de Silva from Markham, Ontario, Canada writes: We definitely had our chances, but failed to capitalize when needed. I am sure the coach will have the players ready for the match against Haiti. It was disappointing to see the team from Guadaloupe dive and fake injuries. This is not the way football should be played...
  3. Gary Foster from Waterloo, Canada writes: Several of Gaudalope's players have played pro soccer in Europe so it wasn't exactly amateur vs. pro. Sommiel for instance played for Manchester City I believe and the first goal scorer was capped 37 times for France. We probably should not have been surprised by their ability. They were really a decent team. I agree that the so-called injuries were a bit much near the end. They really did manage to kill any kind of momentum Canada tried to build. Having said that, Canada did get themselves into a difficult situation.
  4. John Palandra from Canada writes: What a terrible performance by a consistently underachieving national team. I cannot beleive what im reading here about "bad goaltending" as an excuse for losing to Guadalope? Seriously can anyone locate Guadalope on a map? Also if this wasnt an upset then why were their fans celebrating like it was the biggest win in the nations history? This is absolutely pathetic, and its no coincidence it comes after they upset Costa Rica.
  5. Patrick O'Shaughnessy from Vancouver, Canada writes: Everyone on this team should be kicked out of Canada. What a bunch of pathetic losers. Lossing to who? How? Maybe a 0-0 tie is possible. But they just don't have any heart, or brains for that matter. I'm tired of these free riding soccer wannabe's making fools out of Canada. I'd rather they not play at all. And that coach should be fired! We'd be better off sending an U-18 girls team from now on. At least they'd make a tackle! Stop embarrassing us! You guys suck!
  6. arlo smythe from Canada writes: You posted that on the 13th, AFTER they advance to the next round?? Maybe you should keep up. They are in the quarterfinals against Guatemuala. They are one game from playing USA in the semis, who is ranked 16th in the world.

    Oh by the way, FIFA released the rankings yesterday, and Canada moved up to 56th. Right with Honduras. That's the greatest improvement from any team in the top 100 since the last list. But they're pathetic losers, right?? Whatever, dude....
