Red Wings' Holmstrom and Lebda to remain out

Associated Press

DETROIT — Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said forward Tomas Holmstrom and defenseman Brett Lebda would not play Saturday in Game 2 against the San Jose Sharks.

Both players missed the opener of the Western Conference semifinals series on Thursday night, when San Jose beat Detroit 2-0.

Holmstrom is out because he has blood on his eye, and Lebda is sidelined with an ankle injury.
